Luncheons

Luncheons for 2011 - 2012

Our luncheons are held on the third Wednesday of the month.

We also host a pre-luncheon game area, where members and guests can

elect to play Bridge, Mah-Jongg, Dominoes or any game of their choosing.

Reservations are required. The cost is $ 25 per person for a luncheon

seating. There is no additional charge for games.

September 21st, 2011	Lakeside Country Club - 9:30 AM to 11:30 AM ~ Doors Open for Games 11:30 AM to 12 Noon ~ Meet a New Friend 12 Noon to 2 PM ~ Luncheon and Program - Welcome to the "Greatest Women's Club on Earth" featuring Kathy Taylor as our Ringmaster. Our activities and events will be showcased in the center ring. Special guest speaker Elaine Petranek of Boys & Girls Country will also be on hand to update us on how they are doing, and to answer any questions we might have.
October 19th, 2011	Lakeside Country Club - 9:30 AM to 11:30 AM ~ Doors Open for Games 11:30 AM to 12 Noon ~ Meet a New Friend 12 Noon to 2 PM ~ Luncheon and Program - "Fall into Fashion" as Macy's Houston Galleria presents their latest fall fashions for ladies of all sizes at this month's luncheon, featuring our own member-models. November 16th, 2011	Lakeside Country Club - 9 AM to 11 AM ~ Doors Open for Games 10 AM ~ Doors Open for Holiday Bazaar 11:30 AM to 12 Noon ~ Meet a New Friend 12 Noon to 2 PM ~ Luncheon and Program - Join our "Salute to Female Veterans" with our guest speaker Marilyn Harris from the Women Veterans Business Center. We will also have a collection of new and gently-used business clothing, which will be donated to the local women's veterans group. A Holiday Bazaar will be open before and after the luncheon. This is a great way to start your holiday shopping.

- The Houston Folklore and Music Society will present a

"Christmas Folk Program." We may once again have a

Santa sighting at the luncheon. The Singing Belles

accompanied by Bev Smolenski on piano will end our

tribute to the Holiday Season with a sing-along.

- T Carolyn Fashions co-owner Barbara Tibbetts will

share her many anecdotes with us. The shop specializes

in fashions for mothers of the bride and other formal

occasions. Barbara, in business for over 20 years, is the

author of "I Want My Dress to Match the Napkins."
